JOALI BEING, Maldives

We were honoured to bring a taste of Saudi hospitality and storytelling to JOALI BEING in the Maldives through Chef Nawal Alkhalawi’s culinary residency during Eid Al-Adha. Over the course of the residency, Chef Nawal curated a series of dining and culinary experiences that celebrated the traditions, flavours and spirit of Saudi Arabia, while creating meaningful connections through food. From a family-style sharing dinner inspired by the generosity of Saudi gatherings to an interactive cooking class exploring the culinary ties between the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean, each experience was designed to spark conversation, cultural exchange and discovery.
